US Firm Challenges Tinubu To Release FBI Records On Alleged Heroin Trafficking
According to a report by Daily Post on Thursday, October 15, 2026, a United States-based policy advisory and lobbying firm, Von Batten-Montague-York, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to publicly support the release of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) records concerning allegations of heroin trafficking reportedly linked to him.
The firm issued the challenge in a statement published on its verified X account on Thursday, questioning the president’s commitment to fighting drug trafficking.
It accused Tinubu of attempting to portray himself as an advocate against drug-related crimes, describing his recent anti-drug campaign as a “desperate stunt” unless he takes steps to make the alleged records public.
According to the firm, the president should demonstrate his commitment to combating drug trafficking by calling on the FBI to release all documents relating to the allegations.
“If President Tinubu is committed to fighting drug trafficking, we challenge him to publicly call for the FBI to release all records concerning alleged heroin trafficking reportedly connected to him,” the statement said.
The lobbying firm maintained that publicly supporting the release of the records would provide an opportunity to address questions surrounding the allegations.
It also disclosed that its principal, Dr Von Batten, met with congressional staff members from both the Republican and Democratic parties on Wednesday.
The meeting reportedly focused on several issues, including the allegations of heroin trafficking linked to Tinubu.
However, the statement, as provided, did not establish that the alleged trafficking occurred or indicate that the FBI had agreed to release any additional records.
The challenge comes amid continued public debate over the allegations and scrutiny of the president’s position on drug-related crimes.
Von Batten-Montague-York’s statement placed the responsibility on Tinubu to publicly request the release of the relevant documents, arguing that such a move would demonstrate his willingness to address the controversy.
The firm’s comments also questioned the sincerity of the president’s anti-drug advocacy, insisting that his actions should match his public position on combating drug trafficking.
