Seahawks get exciting news on Zach Charbonnet’s 2026 season debut

But one of the biggest issues for the team right now is the questions surrounding the running back room. George Holani and Emmanuel Wilson are not playing great, while Jadarian Price is on IR, waiting for a return.
Zach Charbonnet, meanwhile, has been inching closer to a return. But he’s not back yet, and won’t be for Week 6 against the Denver Broncos. However, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, he has a “legitimate chance” to play in Week 7 for Seattle.
“Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet has a legitimate chance to make his season debut in Week 7 vs. Kansas City, multiple sources say,” Fowler reports.
This update from Fowler is some exciting news for the Seahawks. While it’s not confirmed just yet that Charbonnet will be back next week, this update is a very good sign that Seattle will have its RB1 back in Week 7.
After letting Kenneth Walker III leave in free agency and seeing him thrive with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Seahawks getting Charbonnet back and seeing him thrive would be huge for this team.

Fortunately, it appears he’s closing in on a return, with Week 7 very much in play for Charbonnet’s 2026 NFL season debut.
After running for 730 yards and 12 touchdowns on 184 attempts last season, Charbonnet tore his ACL late in the year and has been out for all of the Seahawks’ first six games this season.
But fortunately, Charbonnet might be back in Week 7, with this report from Fowler indicating his return is very close to happening.
