An exclusive source tells PEOPLE that the Grammy winner and her fiancé Michael Polansky are "truly in baby bliss," adding that the new parents are "savoring every moment [and] new milestone" with their baby girl

Lady Gaga is soaking up every moment with her baby girl.

An exclusive source tells PEOPLE that the Grammy winner, 40, and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, are "truly in baby bliss," adding that the new parents are "savoring every moment [and] new milestone" with their daughter. The insider also says the couple's little one is the "perfect combination" of both of her parents.

"Gaga and Michael are truly in baby bliss, they are savoring every moment [and] new milestone," the source says. "They have been sending videos and pictures to close friends and family, Rose is so adorable and really looks like the perfect combination of both her parents."

"Michael took a good amount of time off work and now has been back, but working remotely a lot so he can be with Gaga and Rose," they continue.

The musician and her fiancé, 42, welcomed a baby girl named Rose Bean Polansky on June, 9, 2026, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE. TMZ was first to report the news at the time.

Shortly after news broke about their baby, sources told PEOPLE that Gaga "sounds very happy."

"She always wanted to be a mom. This was something very important to her," the insider close to the new mom told PEOPLE exclusively.

The source added that Gaga "was ready to slow down after her tour," which wrapped in April.

"Right now, she's enjoying being away from the public eye and having this special time with the baby," the source continued. "Michael is great with the baby. They're figuring everything out together. She doesn't want to miss any of it."

Another insider told PEOPLE that the little one's name is inspired by the song "La Vie En Rose," which Gaga famously covered in the 2018 movie A Star Is Born. The "Born This Way" artist also has a large tattoo on her spine of a single rose on a long stem with the words, "la vie en rose" written in script beside it.

Rose's middle name Bean likely comes from activist Carl Bean, who inspired Gaga's song "Born This Way," added the source.

Gaga and Polansky were first photographed kissing at a 2020 New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas, and they went public with their relationship shortly after the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami, PEOPLE previously reported.

Polansky, an entrepreneur and Harvard University graduate, quarantined with Gaga at her Malibu home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gaga confirmed her and Polansky's engagement in July 2024 when she introduced the tech entrepreneur as her "fiancé," while talking to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Paris Olympics. He has also collaborated with Gaga on her 2025 album Mayhem, co-producing the record and co-writing several songs.

Gaga has been open about her desire to become a mom over the past several years. Last October, during a pre-recorded interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Mayhem artist opened up about how becoming a mom was her next big life goal. Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, told the former late-night host that she hopes that motherhood is her "next starring role."

"I would like to do many things," she said. "All of these things are open. But, what I really want is to be a mom. That's my next starring role, I hope."
