Oburu No Show as Orengo, Ida Odinga Hold NOght Event at Raila’s Home in Bondo, Ahead of Key Ceremony

The political landscape has shifted dramatically as prominent figures gather for a solemn night gathering at the late leader’s rural home.

Family members, close political allies and national leaders have converged in Bondo to prepare for the upcoming anniversary commemoration.

This major memorial has drawn immense attention from across the country, uniting citizens, local supporters, and high-ranking officials in shared reflection.

Many notable personalities have arrived at the homestead to finalize preparations for the massive ceremony scheduled for later this week.

Prominent leaders have ensured that every logistical detail has been handled smoothly ahead of the grand event.

Earlier it was announced that President William Ruto, former President Uhuru Kenyatta, various opposition figures and international visitors confirmed their attendance for the landmark remembrance.

However, notable absences have marked the initial evening gatherings. Dr. Oburu Odinga has missed the night proceedings because he has experienced health challenges and has remained focused on his recovery.

Family representatives have explained that his absence has stemmed strictly from medical necessity rather than any political division.

Consequently, other leaders have stepped forward to guide the community through the initial memorial rites.

Governor James Orengo and Mama Ida Odinga have taken charge of the evening events, welcoming mourners and overseeing the initial candle-lighting service.

Their presence has provided reassurance to grieving supporters who have traveled from far and wide to pay their respects.

The leaders have emphasized unity and strength as the community prepares to honor a monumental legacy.

As preparations enter their final stages, security has been tightened around the homestead to accommodate the massive crowds expected this week.

Local traders and community members have expressed deep reverence, noting that the remembrance has brought the entire nation together.

The stage has been fully set for a historic gathering that will celebrate a life of remarkable dedication to public service.
