The married father, later identified as 42-year-old Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem of Atlanta, fell from the 200-foot “Goliath” ride at Six Flags Over Georgia on Oct. 12.

Kariem, an educator and cancer survivor, was pronounced dead at the scene. Reportedly, four other parkgoers were injured in the incident.

Now, an alleged eyewitness claims the father’s final moments were captured by the park’s cameras for souvenir photos.

“He was in our pictures; he fell and hit the car three different times,” the witness told CNN affiliate WXIA.

“He hit a girl two rows in front of us on the Goliath ride right where the pictures are taken,” a second eyewitness told the outlet. The witness then added grisly details about the tragedy. “His blood splattered over everybody, and his body fell behind one of the haunted attractions.”

Another eyewitness claimed that Kariem was with his son on the ride when he fell. They added that his wife and daughter were watching from below.

“We were having a great time and to just screaming ‘Oh my God, what is happening?'” the eyewitness told WXIA.

“We are deeply saddened by the guest incident at our park today,” Six Flags said in a statement, per WXIA. “Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with the guest’s family, friends, and loved ones. We are also providing support to the guests and team members affected.”

“The park team and local authorities responded immediately. We are cooperating fully with local authorities as they complete their investigation,” the park added. “Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we will not be sharing additional details at this time.”

Six Flags went on to shut down nine rides across the country following the tragic incident. Attractions at the parks that are similar to the coaster in Austell, Georgia, were closed “out of an abundance of caution,” according to a Six Flags spokesperson.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Public Schools System (APS) paid tribute to Kariem in the wake of his death.

“Atlanta Public Schools extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Mr. Kariem,” APS wrote, per The Guardian. “He was a cherished member of the Wesley International Academy and APS families whose presence and impact will be deeply missed by our students, staff, and all those whose lives her touched.”

An investigation into the incident has been launched by the Cobb County Police.
