Add ARY News on GoogleFollow on Google DiscoverImage shared by TransPeshawarAAResizePESHAWAR: All Zu Cards used for travel on the Zu Peshawar system now require National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) biometric verification and registration.

The deadline for registration is December 31, 2026. As of January 1, 2027, unregistered cards will be barred and cannot be used for travel.

TransPeshawar claims that during station operating hours, registration is accessible at ticket desks at every BRT station.

Passengers must present their original CNIC and Zu Card. Station staff will record the required information, conduct biometric verification and complete the registration.

Chief Executive Officer TransPeshawar, Dr Syed Murtaza Asghar Bukhari, said the initiative aims to strengthen system security through passenger identity verification and support safer, smoother and more organized travel.

He encouraged passengers to complete registration before the deadline to avoid disruption to their travel facilities and congestion at registration counters during the last days.

Passengers under the age of eighteen may register for Zu Cards using either B Form or the CNIC of a parent or legal guardian. The child’s Zu Card, B Form, and biometric verification are needed for registration using a B Form.

The child’s Zu Card, the adult’s original CNIC, and the presence of the relevant parent or guardian for biometric verification are all necessary for registration against a parent’s or guardian’s CNIC.

Foreign travelers can use a Single Journey Ticket or the Zu App to travel on Zu Peshawar. Ten rupees is the registration fee for the Zu Card.
