Rosemary Ndlovu, co-accused slapped with 10 years’ imprisonment

KEMPTON PARK – Former police officers Rosemary Ndlovu and Nomsa Mudau have each been sentenced to 10 years in prison for plotting the murder of Mudau’s husband, Justice Mudau

The Kempton Park Magistrates’ Court found them guilty of incitement to commit murder in 2018.

Gauteng National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Magaboke Mohlatlole said the court heard that Ndlovu approached a man and asked him to help Mudau arrange her husband’s killing.

According to Mohlatlole, the man had previously been involved in the murders of Ndlovu’s family members.

“Several telephone conversations and meetings subsequently took place between Mudau and the man in Tembisa. During these engagements, Mudau requested that they kill her husband, claiming that he was abusive and involved in extramarital affairs,” he said.

Mohlatlole said the court further heard that Mudau intended to pay the man after claiming insurance benefits following her husband’s death.
