Man dies days after shooting in Vallejo

(KRON) — A man who was found shot in Vallejo last week succumbed to his injuries on Monday, police announced in an investigative update.

The shooting occurred on the morning of Oct. 6, around 8 a.m., near the intersection of Springs Road and Castlewood Drive. Responding Vallejo Police Department officers found an unresponsive man inside a car that had collided with an unoccupied vehicle.

Authorities said the victim had been shot at least once. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where he remained until his death.

The man’s identity had not been released pending notification of next of kin, Vallejo PD said.

No arrests have been announced in the case. Authorities said Tuesday that the circumstances of the deadly shooting remain under investigation.
