Mansa Murder: AAP, Bhagwant Mann Govt Stand With Parvinder Jhota’s Family, Says Baltej Pannu

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab media in-charge Baltej Pannu on Wednesday described the murder of Parvinder Singh Jhota in Mansa as deeply saddening and tragic, expressed condolences to the bereaved family and asserted that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government would ensure that the law takes its course.

Pannu said the AAP and the Punjab government stood with Jhota’s family in this difficult hour. He maintained that no individual was above the law and warned that anyone taking the law into their own hands would face action.

“The incident that took place in Mansa yesterday has deeply saddened everyone. Aam Aadmi Party and the Bhagwant Mann government stand with the family in this hour,” Pannu said.

He reiterated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had consistently maintained a zero-tolerance policy against drugs and drug peddlers in Punjab.

“If someone takes the law into their own hands, as the individual from Mansa did, the police do their job. The police performed their duty and arrested him within 24 hours. The law is taking its course, and the administration is doing its job,” Pannu said.

He added that the swift arrest demonstrated that the police had acted promptly in the case.

Pannu further said that anyone believing their influence or power could help them escape legal consequences was mistaken. Punjab, he asserted, was governed by the rule of law, and no one would be allowed to consider themselves above it.

Reaffirming the government’s stance against drugs and drug trafficking, Pannu said the administration would not spare anyone involved in such activities and would take action against those who violated the law.
