Vision was introduced in the MCU eleven years ago back in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, it wasn't until this series that we see the inside of the android's head, which is infested with other AI programs.

All of these AI programs were created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner (in Ultron's case) in the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The six AIs we see in the first two episodes of VisionQuest are J.A.R.V.I.S., D.U.M.-E, U, F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and Ultron.

VisionQuest reveals that the AI programs inhabiting Vision's head have a different function. It seems that these programs have been there ever since the beginning, but the Disney+ MCU series is the first time we see these programs and their human forms.

We meet J.A.R.V.I.S. for the first time in 2008's Iron Man. In that movie, we learn that the program had been taking care of the Stark Mansion before the events of the movie. J.A.R.V.I.S's human avatar takes the form of Edwin Jarvis, played by James D'Arcy. We met Edwin in Agent Carter, who served as Howard Stark's butler.

While we never saw Edwin Jarvis raise Tony Stark in the MCU, many believe that the butler would've been a father figure to the genius hero. Therefore, fans believe that Tony might have created J.A.R.V.I.S. (Just A Rather Very Intelligent System) using Edwin Jarvis's brain waves.

In VisionQuest, J.A.R.V.I.S. is responsible for the upkeep of the mansion inside Vision's mind, and also ensuring that there is no data leak to the outside world.

Clearly the second most important AI program, there could be no Vision without Ultron. It is possible that Vision could've imprisoned Ultron in his mind during Avengers: Age of Ultron and could've chosen to keep this a secret. In the Disney+ series, Ultron has evolved a bit, and he wants Vision to be more active. This is why he even reveals Vision's location to Paladin in the first episode.

D.U.M.-E and U are two robots that Tony Stark created when he was at MIT. The hydraulic arm assistant is the unsung hero of the entire MCU, as it handed over an old arc reactor to Tony after Obadiah Stane betrayed Stark by taking the new reactor in the 2008 movie.

The last time we saw D.U.M.-E was in Spider-Man: No Way Home, in Happy's apartment. British actor Henry Lewis plays the human avatar of D.U.M.-E, who is responsible for maintenance of the mansion.

Kerry Condon previously voiced the AI form of F.R.I.D.A.Y. Tony Stark incorporated F.R.I.D.A.Y. into his Iron Man armor to replace J.A.R.V.I.S. after he powered Vision's mind in Age of Ultron. Actress Orla Brady plays F.R.I.D.A.Y. in VisionQuest as the advisor.

It seems that D.U.M.-E and U are an android duo in the MCU, just like the Star Wars franchise's R2-D2 and C-3PO. Tony used U to record his progress while experimenting with new Iron Man armors. In the Disney+ MCU series, U is also responsible for general maintenance.

An abbreviation for "Even Dead I’m The Hero", E.D.I.T.H. appeared in the MCU for the first time in Spider-Man: Far From Home. In that movie, Peter Parker's E.D.I.T.H.-powered glasses were the central macGuffin of the entire plot. In the MCU Disney+ series, Emily Hampshire of Schitt's Creek plays E.D.I.T.H.
