Joburg’s Next Up: Why You Need Prexcott SA and His Track “FUNTANA” on Your Playlist

If you’re on the hunt for fresh sounds that hit different, it’s time to put Prexcott SA on your radar. Hailing from the west of Johannesburg, this upcoming artist is bringing a completely unique perspective to the music game, and he’s definitely not here to play safe.

Prexcott has been locked in the studio putting in major work on new music, and the hustle is clearly paying off. He’s blending local township culture with a vibe that’s entirely his own, making him one of the most exciting new voices out of the West Rand right now.

To kick off this new chapter, he just blessed us with a heavy single named “FUNTANA.”

The track is pure energy, loaded with sharp bars and clever wordplay. If you’ve heard lines like “Funtana the viper and your shawty wanna vaya,” then you already know how infectious the track is. It’s the perfect introduction to his sound—slick, confident, and unapologetically local.

Seriously, do yourself a favor and go check out “FUNTANA” right now.

Prexcott is highly active online, constantly dropping clips, previewing unreleased tracks, and showing love to his supporters. Lock in with him on his socials so you don’t miss the next wave:

The west of Joburg definitely has a certified hitmaker on the rise. Tap in early before everyone else catches on!
