According to a report by BBC Sport on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Barcelona moved to the top of the UEFA Champions League table after recording a convincing 4-1 victory over Galatasaray, while Arsenal strengthened their position among the leading teams with a 3-0 win against Lille.

The second round of league-phase fixtures produced several important results, with Club Brugge claiming a dramatic victory over Inter Milan and Bayern Munich dropping points against Viking.

Barcelona lead the standings with six points from two matches, having scored nine goals and conceded twice. Sporting CP occupy second place with six points, following their 2-0 victory over Lens, while Arsenal sit third after maintaining their perfect start to the competition.

Bayern Munich are fourth with four points from two games. The German champions were held to a 3-3 draw by Viking despite recovering from an early deficit, leaving them behind the three teams that have won both of their opening matches.

Paris Saint-Germain occupy fifth place with three points from their opening fixture, while Como are sixth, also on three points. Manchester United, who defeated Sabah 4-0 on matchday one, have slipped to seventh after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

Stuttgart occupy eighth place with three points from their opening match, completing the leading eight positions in the latest standings published by UEFA.

Tuesday’s results also produced a major setback for Inter Milan, who lost 4-3 at home to Club Brugge in one of the night’s most entertaining matches. The Belgian side secured their first points of the campaign after losing their opening fixture.

Villarreal climbed back into contention with a 3-1 victory over Napoli, while RB Leipzig defeated PSV Eindhoven 1-0 to register their first win. Sabah also recorded a 2-0 victory over Slavia Prague, earning their first Champions League win.

Atletico Madrid’s victory over Manchester United was another significant result, with Ademola Lookman scoring the second goal after Pablo Barrios had opened the scoring. Arsenal, meanwhile, continued their impressive form with three second-half goals against Lille.

The standings remain provisional, with Wednesday’s remaining fixtures offering further opportunities for teams to improve their positions.
