Skip Bayless passionately declares himself a fan of Bills’ Josh Allen

Josh Allen has apparently won over one of sports television’s most stubborn personalities. Following the Buffalo Bills ’ dramatic 37-34 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams, longtime commentator Skip Bayless publicly declared himself a full-blown fan of the Buffalo quarterback. In a passionate video shared on social media, Bayless made his new allegiance unmistakable.

“Guess I’m officially a Josh Allen fan now,” he admitted. “I’m not just a fan… a fanatic… a fanboy… a nut… a zealot. I am the president of the Josh Allen fan club.”

Bayless explained that the ongoing jokes on his show Gridiron helped push him to embrace his growing admiration for Allen, especially as his beloved Dallas Cowboys continue to disappoint. Calling Dallas “a wreck of a disaster,” Bayless said Allen’s combination of power, speed and fearlessness has become impossible to ignore.

Bayless was particularly impressed by Allen’s physical running style. He compared the 6-foot-5, 240-pound quarterback favorably to Cam Newton. He praised Allen’s willingness to initiate contact rather than avoid it. Bayless described him as one of football’s most exciting players.

“He’s by far the most exciting player in all of football,” Bayless said, adding that he has “never seen anything quite like Josh Allen.”

The endorsement is another reminder of how Allen’s dynamic playmaking can turn even high-profile skeptics into admirers.

Allen has given fans plenty to celebrate through five weeks of the 2026 NFL season. He has led Buffalo to a 4-1 record while accounting for 15 total touchdowns, with 1,249 passing yards, seven passing scores and eight rushing touchdowns. Against the Rams, he produced 331 total yards and helped secure his first career overtime victory.
