Young sheriff’s deputy fired for posing for photos with jail inmates, including pic flipping the bird

A young Texas sheriff’s deputy was fired after she shared photos of herself flipping the bird, pulling a duck face-peace sign combo and sticking her tongue out with jail inmates posing behind her.

Detention Deputy Karla Beltran was let go from her gig with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office after she posed for pictures with detainees in her custody, News 4 San Antonio reported.

Beltran posted the photos on social media, according to the outlet.

A series of images show the deputy posing in uniform with several women – who are separated from the cop by glass – while they sit in jail.

In one photo, Beltran is seen posing, making a kissy face and throwing up peace signs, as two inmates behind her do the same.

In another, the deputy is seen sticking out her tongue and giving two middle fingers to the camera as an inmate behind her flips off the camera as well.

Beltran had just started her job with the sheriff’s department a few months before the unprofessional images were discovered. She had only begun her service on July 1, authorities said.

Beltran was let go on Monday, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the outlet. She could not be reached for comment.

Deputies for the sheriff’s office serve a one-year probationary period, during which they can be dismissed for failing to meet expectations or conduct standards, the local outlet reported.
