After Arsenal 3-0, Barcelona 4-1 Wins, Man United 2-0 Defeat, Here is How UEFA CL Table Stands

The UEFA Champions League standings have witnessed significant changes following Tuesday’s matches, with Arsenal, Barcelona and Sporting CP registering victories as the battle for automatic qualification to the round of 16 intensifies.

Sporting CP strengthened their position after securing a 2-0 away victory against Lens on Tuesday, October 13. The Portuguese side moved to six points from two matches, having started their campaign with a 3-1 win over Galatasaray.

Arsenal also continued their impressive European campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Lille at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners had opened their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win against Napoli, taking their tally to six points from two games.

Barcelona produced another impressive performance, coming from behind to beat Galatasaray 4-1 in Istanbul. The Spanish giants had previously defeated Feyenoord 5-1, leaving them with six points from their opening two fixtures.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich dropped points after playing out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Norwegian side Viking. The German champions had started their campaign with a 5-0 victory over Bodø/Glimt and now have four points.

Manchester United endured a disappointing evening after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Atlético Madrid in Spain. United had recorded a 4-0 victory over Sabah in their opening match, leaving them with three points after two games.

Elsewhere, Club Brugge stunned Inter Milan with a thrilling 4-3 victory, while RB Leipzig defeated PSV Eindhoven 1-0. Villarreal also collected maximum points after beating Napoli 3-1.

Under the Champions League’s 36-team league-phase format, the top eight clubs qualify automatically for the round of 16, while teams finishing ninth to 24th enter the knockout-phase play-offs.

With several fixtures still to be played, the standings remain provisional, and upcoming results could significantly reshape the qualification race.
