22-year-old arrested for murder again in Tulare County, officials say
TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 22-year-old was arrested for murder in Tulare County on Tuesday just a few months after being released for involvement in a different murder case, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
22-year-old Jacob Ramirez Aguilar from Richgrove was arrested on Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office.
Aguilar was arrested for murder for the first time when he was a juvenile in December 2020, officials say. Aguilar was allegedly involved in an armed robbery that resulted in the death of a store owner in Wuakena.
Aguilar was found guilty of his involvement, but was released in May 2026. A few months later, he found himself in serious trouble again.
Officers rushed out to a scene at the 20800 Block of Francis Drive in Richmond for calls reporting a shooting. A man was found with a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were performed, but the man died at the scene, deputies say.
Investigators were able to identify Aguilar as the only suspect. Deputies reviewed surveillance footage and were able to locate Aguilar a few weeks later. On Tuesday, deputies served a search warrant at the 600 Block of Kensington Street in Delano.
Aguilar was found and taken to the South County Detention Facility on murder charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
