A 44-ACRE mall property is slated for a major revamp as officials plot to ditch retail for residential.The Tanforan Mall is in for a major redevelopment, to be transformed into a mixed-use neighborhood with tons of apartments and a hotel.The California mall, also known as The Shops at Tanforan, has declined over the years, with much of its interior retail spaces now empty or closed.
