But how much did she actually donate in 2025? The number is staggering. Of the $19.2 billion worth of megagifts donated in 2025, Scott was personally responsible for one-third, according to Fortune. She reportedly donated about $7 billion in the year, bringing her cumulative donations to $26.2 billion since her divorce.

The other megadonors on the 2025 list are Michael Bloomberg ($4.3 billion), Bill Gates ($3.7 billion), Warren Buffett ($1.34 billion), and Susan and Michael Dell (nearly $1 billion). According to a report by Giving USA and IU’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, donations in 2025 totaled $617.2 billion, a 5.7% jump from the previous year.

“It was a positive year for charitable giving, with virtually all categories of recipient organizations achieving solid or better growth at the aggregate level,” Gabe Cooper, vice chair of Giving USA Foundation and founder and CEO of Virtuous, said in a statement.

Despite those numbers, Scott isn’t in the Chronicle of Philanthropy’s list of the top 50 donors this year. Why? Well, because she doesn’t advertise her charitable donations and refused to confirm the numbers. “MacKenzie Scott is among the notable absences on the Philanthropy 50 list,” the Chronicle said in March 2026. “While it is possible she made gifts to her donor-advised funds that would have earned her a spot on the Philanthropy 50, she and her representatives declined to provide such information to the Chronicle.”

Scott’s net worth is reported to be about $32.5 billion these days, according to Forbes. Meanwhile, her ex-husband has an estimated net worth of $230.2 billion.

While Scott makes headlines because of her charitable contributions, Bezos continues to make headlines mostly because of his new marriage to Lauren Sánchez Bezos and speculation about whether the two are really compatible.

“Lauren’s energy is non-stop,” a source told Rob Shuter in January 2026. “She was jumping, dancing, laughing — and Jeff was hanging on for dear life. He looked wiped.”

“He’s happy, but he’s clearly worn out trying to match her,” another source added.

Scott, meanwhile, is doing her own thing: donating money, writing books, and presumably not thinking about Bezos all that much.
