I Cancelled All My Business Deals In Kumasi Because Of Lil Win’s Threats – Van Vicker
According to a report by The BBC Ghana today being Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Ghanaian actor Van Vicker has dragged fellow actor Lilwin to court over alleged defamatory remarks, seeking GH¢10 million in compensation for the harm he claims to have suffered as a result of the statements.
Details contained in the court document indicate that Van Vicker believes the alleged comments have negatively affected his sense of security and disrupted his business plans. The actor reportedly claims that he has been living in fear following the alleged threats and has been compelled to cancel all scheduled business trips to Kumasi.
The lawsuit is linked to comments Lilwin allegedly made before the production of the movie A Journey to Africa, which was filmed at Nzulezu in the Western Region.
During the dispute, Lilwin reportedly threatened to stop Van Vicker from appearing in Kumawood movies, an issue that has now resulted in legal action.
Van Vicker is asking the court to award him GH¢10 million in exemplary damages over the alleged conduct. He is also seeking additional damages for libel, arguing that the statements warrant legal redress, as well as reimbursement of the expenses incurred in pursuing the case.
In addition to the financial compensation, the actor wants Lilwin to publicly retract the alleged defamatory comments and issue an apology.
He is requesting that the retraction and apology be published on news portals for four consecutive weeks to ensure that the response receives sufficient public attention.
Van Vicker is further seeking a court order to prevent Lilwin from making similar statements against him in the future.
The legal dispute has drawn attention to the relationship between the two prominent figures in Ghana’s movie industry. The case will now depend on the legal arguments and evidence presented before the court as the parties pursue their respective positions.
