2027: There Will Be Consequences For Not Voting Tinubu – Soludo Warns Anambra People

According to a report by The Daily Post on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, ahead of the 2027 general election, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo has issued a warning to the people of the state regarding the potential repercussions of not re-electing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The governor brought up the erosion crisis that is impacting various parts of the state, saying that if voters did not support Tinubu for a second term, Anambra could lose access to crucial federal support.

The comments were made by Soludo in a video where he is speaking to some of his supporters; the video has sparked more political talk in the lead-up to the 2027 presidential election.

The governor has stated that the erosion problem in Anambra is now too severe for the state government to manage independently and has requested federal assistance.

To solve the environmental problem and help impacted communities in the long run, he said, we need to work with the federal government.

The rate of erosion in Anambra is too high for the state to handle. “We need to vote for Tinubu because it requires federal intervention,” Soludo said.

He went on to say that locals would be in for some trouble if they didn’t vote for the president to re-eminate.

“If we fail to vote for President Tinubu, there will be consequence and you will lose something,” the governor added.

As parties and their supporters start to position themselves for the 2027 elections, topics such as federal-state relations and development projects are likely to be discussed extensively. Soludo’s remarks come at a time when this is happening.

Erosion has threatened communities, roads, and properties in parts of Anambra State, and the governor’s remarks also emphasize the importance of federal intervention in addressing major environmental challenges.

But his caution makes us wonder if states’ expectations of federal aid are affected by their political support for a presidential candidate.
