Peshawar commissioner directs speedy completion of flyovers and underpasses

The commissioner ordered officials to expedite work on the Jamil Chowk Underpass, Hazara Khwani Flyover, Pishtakhara Chowk Underpass, and underpass near the Hayatabad Ring Road Toll Plaza while presiding over a meeting to assess the status of ongoing development projects.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Director General of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), Chief Engineer PDA, Director Roads and other administrative and technical officials from the relevant departments.

During the meeting, commissioner reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects on Ring Road and directed the relevant authorities to remove all obstacles hindering construction work without delay. He emphasized the need for effective coordination and a unified strategy among the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of the projects.

He said the completion of the underpasses and flyovers would make the Ring Road completely signal-free and improve traffic flow, allowing commuters to reach their destinations more conveniently.

Additionally, the commissioner mandated that the remaining portions of the Northern Bypass be built more quickly. He gave the officials instructions to finish building the flyovers at Warsak Road and Charsadda Road as soon as possible.

He emphasized that the early completion of these infrastructure projects was crucial to giving Peshawar people better and more convenient transit options.
