CM introduces senior citizens’ bill in assembly

Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala Senior Citizens (Care and Protection of Rights) Bill, 2026, was introduced in the assembly on Tuesday. Presenting the bill, chief minister V D Satheesan said the proposed legislation sought to ensure care and protection to senior citizens while also enabling the state to make use of their knowledge and experience through a silver economy.
