Snezana Wood stepped out in public on Tuesday for the first time since husband Sam Wood was charged over an alleged domestic violence assault at their $3,000-a-night Noosa holiday home on October 3.
Wood was refused bail last Thursday when he fronted Maroochydore Magistrates’ Court over the alleged offences against Snezana, who is fully supportive of the charges proceeding.
Prosecutors alleged Wood pushed his wife into a wardrobe, grabbed her by the throat, threw her against a wall and struck her head against the floor during the incident, which was witnessed by her daughter Eve, 21, who called triple-0.
Wood, 46, remains behind bars and on Tuesday was moved to a new prison that houses some of the most reviled and infamous killers, rapists and paedophiles in Australia.
In exclusive pictures obtained by the Mail, 46-year-old Snezana was seen without her wedding ring during an outing in Melbourne.
Despite the harrowing allegations, she appeared in good spirits as she attended one of her daughters’ dance concerts before meeting a friend at a local café.

Snezana put on a brave face as she went about her day, trying to keep a low profile in a baseball cap.
She rugged up in a black coat layered over a white T-shirt and dark leggings.
Snezana had her hands full as she juggled her belongings in a black leather bag and her daughter’s backpack, while also keeping a close eye on the youngster.
She later met up with a female friend and was comforted by the woman before they made their way to a nearby eatery.
The sighting comes after Snezana celebrated her 46th birthday over the weekend at an ‘intimate’ gathering of close friends and her children, sources say.
The ‘deliberately understated’ gathering came as no surprise to members of Snezana’s inner circle, with friends saying the family hopes to maintain as much privacy as possible in the wake of Wood’s arrest.
The Mail is told the party took place on Sunday, a day after Snezana’s birthday on October 10.

It was a markedly different vibe for Snezana, whose birthday celebrations have previously featured prominently across the couple’s social media accounts.
Last year, her eldest daughter Eve marked the occasion with a gushing Instagram tribute to her mother.
‘To the most important person in my life, the strongest, the most beautiful, and hardest working woman I know. You’ll forever be the woman I look up to, and everything I hope to become,’ she wrote alongside a gallery of family photos.
Wood had publicly wished Snezana a happy birthday back in 2024.
‘My beautiful wife had a birthday, My little brother runs a marathon, Life is great and crazy,’ he wrote on Instagram at the time.
This year, however, there was no mention of Snezana’s birthday on social media as the family went to ground amid intense public interest in the allegations against Wood.
Those in attendance were ‘determined to preserve a sense of normality for Snez and the children’, a source said.

Wood was arrested and charged with domestic violence offences just over a week ago.
When he faced court in Queensland last Thursday, police prosecutor Sergeant Jeanette Grigoris noted he had previously choked Snezana in a similar incident.
Sergeant Grigoris said Wood had not been charged over that alleged attack, but told the court his behaviour had been ‘escalating’.
It is alleged that a row broke out in Noosa ahead of the couple returning to Melbourne, and Snezana was pushed into a wardrobe before Eve intervened.
The court heard Eve told Wood to stop shouting, prompting him to approach her ‘aggressively’ before Snezana tried to get between them.
Wood is then alleged to have put his hands around Snezana’s throat and forced her to the floor, where he pinned her down and banged her head, leaving her unable to breathe.
She told police she thought ‘this was it… her life was going to end’. She said she thought Wood was ‘going to kill her’, the court heard.

Snezana had also told police Wood was ‘volatile and prone to angry outbursts’, and said she had to ‘walk on eggshells around him’.
Sergeant Grigoris said Wood had made ‘partial admissions’ in a record of interview, including referring to an argument in the bedroom.
‘He’s essentially victim-blaming in my submission,’ she told the court.
Mr Cuskelly said his client suffered from severe depression and might rely on self-defence if the case went to trial.
He told the court Wood’s stepdaughter Eve was being hostile, Snezana approached Wood, and he pushed her away.
‘My client may indeed be entitled to a self-defence argument,’ Mr Cuskelly said. ‘These are matters that need to be further explored.’
While a paramedic had made a statement there was an injury to the left side of Snezana’s head, Mr Cuskelly said two tendered photographs did not show that injury.
The lawyer added: ‘He repeatedly denied that this had occurred. Where’s the injuries to her throat? They’re not there.

‘My client denies committing these offences.
‘He’s never been before the courts before. He’s a businessman [and] Mr Wood’s depression is regarded as extremely severe.’
On Tuesday, Wood was transferred from Brisbane Correctional Centre to nearby Wolston Correctional Centre.
Wolston is a high-security facility which accommodates male protection prisoners who cannot be kept in the general prison population because their crimes or profiles make them particularly vulnerable.
Among its current residents are schoolboy Daniel Morcombe’s killer Brett Peter Cowan, and Gerard Baden-Clay, the Brisbane real estate agent jailed for the premeditated murder of his wife.
Another of Wood’s new neighbours is former childcare worker Ashley Griffith, who is serving a minimum of 27 years in jail for more than 300 sex crimes against children, most of them girls aged between three and five.
Wood and Snezana were having marriage counselling in the years before last week’s incident.
Wood revealed in April last year that he and Snezana saw a therapist together to work out relationship issues, referring to their home life as a ‘pressure cooker environment’.

During a parenting podcast interview with Mamamia, he claimed tensions between the pair came to a head during the Covid pandemic.
‘Everyone thinks, “Oh, you guys have got it all worked out.” We don’t have it worked out. We are a dog’s breakfast. It’s a madhouse, and it’s stressful, and we’re exhausted and we’re probably like everybody else,’ he said.
Wood went on to say Instagram doesn’t portray the whole truth of their family life behind closed doors, adding that his relationship with Snezana and Eve, her daughter from a previous relationship, was put to the test during the lockdowns six years ago.
He claimed stepdaughter Eve ‘was working herself out’ as a teenager, adding that ‘she was pretty challenging’ during the ages of 14, 15 and 16.
‘So it was a pressure-cooker environment and I thought she needed more discipline, and Snez didn’t, and that put a strain on our relationship. And we do butt heads a lot on boundaries and what they need,’ he said.
Wood added that he was resistant when Snezana brought up the idea of couples counselling, saying he ‘got defensive as soon as it was suggested’.
‘I was like, “But what’s wrong with us? Why do we need that? What do we need to fix?” I didn’t go kicking and screaming, but I wasn’t rapt in the idea, even walking in the door,’ he said.
However, Wood later said he ‘flipped over time’ and began to see marriage counselling as a ‘calming’ and ‘vulnerable’ experience.

Snezana welcomed eldest daughter Eve in 2005 with ex-husband Jason Rapoff.
Reports indicated father and daughter were estranged for years, but on Tuesday Rapoff told the Mail he was back in contact with Eve after Saturday’s alleged incident.
The rift between Eve and Jason, 46, began long before she and her mother left Western Australia to begin a new life with Wood in Melbourne.
Jason had married Snezana in January 2005, shortly after his release from a 12-month prison sentence for possession of methamphetamine and two firearms.
The marriage was blighted early on when Jason, a former state junior motocross champion, broke his back in a dirt bike accident at his family’s farm in Bindoon.
The accident left him paraplegic, and he would later tell the Herald Sun in 2015 he went into a ‘downhill spiral’ and pushed away his loved ones, including his daughter.
Jason and Snezana split six months after his life-changing crash. Eve was just two months old at the time.
Snezana first captured Australia’s attention when she won Sam’s heart on the third season of The Bachelor in 2015.

Their romance became one of the franchise’s most celebrated success stories, with the couple marrying in 2018 and welcoming three daughters together.
Alongside Snezana’s eldest daughter Eve, the family became familiar faces to hundreds of thousands of followers who watched their relationship, family milestones and property renovations unfold online.
Wood founded fitness and training business 28 by Sam Wood, which he sold for $71million to DBG Health in 2022 while remaining the face of the online platform under its new owner.
DBG Health quickly distanced itself from Wood and the company cut all ties with the former reality star.
