‘Without a doubt’ – Chase Daniel thinks there’s a clear NFL MVP winner this season

Chase Daniel has had high praise for San Francisco 49ers star Brock Purdy after their most recent game.

The 49ers clashed with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in what was perhaps their biggest test of the season so far.

When all was said and done, they secured a 32-29 win and the efforts of Purdy have now led to Daniel saying that the quarterback is ‘the MVP without a doubt’.

Chase appeared on Good Morning Football and was asked if Purdy’s performance against the Seahawks puts him in a similar category to former MVPs Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford.

He responded: “Oh, he’s the MVP without a doubt. You look at the first four games of the year, he wasn’t even sacked, he wasn’t touched.

“Last night the Seahawks were able to pressure him at a 60 percent rate, sacked him multiple times, there was some turnovers and takeaways.

“You look at the first two and a half, two and three quarters of the game, like he wasn’t really good.

“It was the turnovers from the Seahawks that kept them in the game.”

He continued: “But if you really dive deep, and you look at the last half of the third quarter, and then the fourth quarter, he really came alive, started using his legs more.

“You see right here, on the two-point conversion, which was a massive play, that deep ball on the right sideline to Mike Evans. I think Mike Evans has really, really unlocked him [Purdy].”

The 49ers have now extended their unbeaten run to five games this season and are one of just three teams still yet to lose in 2026.

They next take to the field on October 19 against the Washington Commanders, who most recently drew 27-27 against the New York Giants.
