Chiefs Reportedly Secure Marcelo Allende’s Future in a Pre-Contract Agreement

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly emerged as potential contenders for the signature of Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Marcelo Allende, with claims suggesting that the Soweto club has already reached a pre-contract agreement with the Chilean international. However, the reported deal remains unconfirmed, leaving supporters waiting for further information about the midfielder’s future.

According to SportsWithDailyNews in a report published on October 11, 2026, Chiefs have reportedly taken steps to secure Allende’s services as his current contract with Sundowns approaches its final months. The report also claims that the midfielder intends to leave the Tshwane-based club and could earn a substantial salary at Naturena if the move becomes reality.

Neither club nor the player has officially confirmed the alleged agreement or the financial details being circulated. Consequently, the reports should be treated as transfer speculation rather than a completed deal.

Allende joined Sundowns in August 2022 after leaving Uruguayan side Montevideo City Torque. Since arriving in South Africa, he has demonstrated his technical ability, creativity and passing skills, becoming a valuable option in the club’s midfield.

His contribution to Sundowns’ domestic and continental campaigns has made questions surrounding his future particularly important to the club’s supporters. In August 2026, he reportedly indicated that he was concentrating on his responsibilities during what he described as his final year with the team. Reports also suggested that discussions about extending his contract had not taken place.

For Chiefs, signing the 27-year-old could provide a significant boost to their midfield. His experience in the Betway Premiership and ability to create scoring opportunities could help address the team’s attacking shortcomings while introducing greater competition for places.
