Rams star throws punch at Bills player in ugly postgame fight as suspension looms
The Los Angeles Rams didn’t just lose a football game Monday night. Their starting left tackle might have lost his cool — and potentially his availability for their next game.
Moments after the Buffalo Bills stunned the Rams 37-34 in overtime at SoFi Stadium, cameras caught Alaric Jackson throwing a right-handed punch at Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb near midfield.
The confrontation erupted after Buffalo’s stunning comeback victory, which saw Gregg Rousseau block Harrison Mevis’ potential game-winning 48-yard field goal before Josh Allen marched the Bills downfield for a winning 45-yard kick of their own.
As Buffalo celebrated on the field after the win, Chubb appeared to exchange words with Jackson before the Rams lineman approached him. The two went face-to-face, and after Chubb appeared to put his hand on Jackson’s face, Jackson responded with a quick right hand.

Exclusive video obtained by The California Post showed Chubb confronting Jackson again as he walked off the field towards the Rams’ locker room. Thankfully, injured Rams defensive end Myles Garrett intervened before more violence occurred.

“They always catch the second guy, so I let him swing and my teammates held me back and I just chilled,” Chubb told The Post afterward.
For Jackson, the timing couldn’t be worse.
The 27-year-old was arrested in June on suspicion of felony domestic violence before his case was referred to a pre-filing diversion program. No criminal charges have been filed. He also served a two-game NFL suspension in 2024 for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
With San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw suspended earlier Monday for a head butt against the Seattle Seahawks, Jackson’s punch could invite additional NFL scrutiny.
The league will determine whether discipline is warranted, but Jackson has given it another incident to review. The Rams already lost the game, the last thing this team needs is to lose their starting left tackle.
