Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Taken by Ambulance from Prison After Head Injury
Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken by ambulance from a federal prison in New Jersey early on Saturday morning after he suffered a head injury.
Sources at FCI Fort Dix told TMZ that the ambulance left the prison grounds at about 1 a.m. Combs, who is 56, was conscious and speaking when he was brought back to the prison before sunrise. The injury was described as non-life-threatening. It is still not clear how he sustained the injury or exactly where he was treated.
A representative for Combs spoke to Page Six and Newsweek. The spokesperson said they were aware of the reports and were working to confirm the circumstances. The representative added that Combs’s health and well-being were the immediate concern.
Combs is currently serving a 50-month sentence at the low-security prison. He was convicted in 2025 on two counts related to the transportation of people for prostitution. A jury had earlier cleared him of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. He was transferred to Fort Dix late last year after spending time at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Accounting for time already served, he is expected to be released in early 2028.
The medical incident comes at a time when questions have been raised about conditions inside the prison. An earlier NBC News report spoke to several men who had been in the same unit as Combs. They claimed he had access to a banned cellphone and alcohol, and that other inmates were paid to carry out tasks for him. Prison authorities have not publicly commented on those claims.
Federal Bureau of Prisons officials declined to discuss Combs’s medical situation when approached by reporters. The agency said it does not comment on the conditions of confinement for any individual, including medical matters, for reasons of privacy and security.
Combs’s legal team has previously described his time in prison as a period of sobriety and participation in educational programmes. His lawyers have also indicated that they are pursuing an appeal against the sentence. The latest development is still being clarified by his representatives, who continue to monitor his condition closely.
No further official details have been released about the cause of the head injury or the precise treatment he received. His team has asked for privacy while they establish the facts.
