CJN swears in 68 new SANs
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, on Monday, swore in 68 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) at the Supreme Court in Abuja.
The ceremony was held during a special session to mark the commencement of the 2026/2027 legal year.
Earlier in July, the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee approved the elevation of the 68 legal practitioners to the prestigious rank of SAN.
The decision was taken at the LPPC’s 174th plenary session held in Abuja.
The new recipients comprise 67 advocates and one academic, Nnamdi Obiaraeri, who is a professor.
