Smoke From HCU Electric Bus; Massive Traffic Jam at Begumpet

HYDERABAD: Smoke was observed coming from an RTC electric bus belonging to the Hyderabad Central University depot. Around 4.30 pm on Monday, while the bus was travelling from beneath the Yatri Nivas flyover towards Secunderabad, smoke began to billow from the rear of the vehicle. The driver immediately stopped the bus. There were very few passengers on board at the time, and all of them alighted without harm.

However, it caused a massive traffic jam, all the way from Yatri Nivas to Begumpet, including on the flyover. Traffic police brought a trolley and moved the bus from the spot.
