Miracles Aboagye Drops Bombshell on NPP Aspirants Defying Party’s Campaign Ban

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of Communications, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has cautioned prospective parliamentary aspirants against defying the party’s directive to suspend campaign activities, warning that such conduct could jeopardise their chances of securing leadership positions.

Speaking on Accra-based Channel One TV, Aboagye stressed that individuals seeking to lead the party must demonstrate discipline and a willingness to abide by its rules and directives.

He indicated that aspirants who disregard instructions from the party leadership could raise questions about their suitability to occupy positions of responsibility within the NPP.

Aboagye also warned that failure to comply with the suspension directive could result in disqualification from the party’s parliamentary primaries, making adherence to the rules a critical consideration for all prospective candidates.

His remarks follow an NPP directive instructing prospective parliamentary aspirants, their agents and supporters to suspend all campaign-related activities until further notice.

The party introduced the measure as part of efforts to prevent premature campaigning, ensure fairness among contestants and maintain unity and discipline within its ranks.

The directive is intended to ensure that all prospective candidates operate within the party’s established framework as preparations for the parliamentary primaries continue.
