(KOKH) — Authorities say two people are dead following a crash in Muskogee County.

Around 9 p.m. on Sunday, emergency crews were called to Hwy 2 and E. 3034d St. S. in Muskogee County.

Troopers with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say a golf cart with no lights on was heading south on Hwy 2 when it was hit by another vehicle.

The impact sent the golf cart off of the road and caused it to roll onto its side.

Troopers say the driver, identified as 41-year-old John Head, and the passenger, 50-year-old Dawn Head, were both ejected from the golf cart.

Officials say both victims died as a result of their injuries.
