Alison Hammond, 51, reveals the one reason she’d kick out boyfriend, 29

The Great British Bake Off host, 51, is happier than ever with her 6ft10 model boyfriend David Putnam, 29, after they first met three years ago when he gave her a massage.

So much so that they now live together just outside of Birmingham as they get on with their mostly private relationship.

But there is one thing that would rock the boat and shatter the romantic bliss, as she recently joked about.

In a new interview, she, alongside her Bake Off co-stars Nigella Lawson and Paul Hollywood, was asked about where she stands on stream-cheating.

For those unfamiliar, stream-cheating is when you secretly watch ahead on a show that you and your partner are watching together. A relationship crime so grave that it’s an instant black mark on the record.

As Paul and Nigella made their feelings about stream-cheating clear (both firmly declaring ‘you don’t do that’), Alison took it one justified step further.

‘If my partner did that, he’s gone. He’s out, you’re out of there. If we are watching Love Island, we need to watch it together at the same time. It’s not fair.’

She said about her approach: ‘I’d literally record it and wait for them to come back,’ saying she’ll even avoid social media to make sure she doesn’t stumble across any spoilers.

It’s rare for the This Morning host to publicly discuss her relationship, but she has been more open in recent months,

‘I’ve always had issues with my boyfriends, this one I don’t,’ she told Daily Mail. ‘We get on really well. We love each other. I never have to worry and second-guess how he feels about me. He’s wonderful.

‘When you say he’s 29, I can’t believe it. It’s like he’s 55.’

She teased that they’re ‘kissing a lot’ and she’s taking full advantage of his masseur background, as he has ‘healing hands’.

Although she also made clear that ‘some man owning’ her is ‘not gonna happen’ when asked about potential wedding bells in the future, though she didn’t rule out an engagement.

Elsewhere, she told The Mirror: ‘It was so random how we met – but it was meant to be! I absolutely adore him, he is lovely…

‘We are obsessed with each other. He loves me. If you met him, he has such a calming nature which is what I need. He is not like me in any way. It’s grounding.’
