Mohsin Naqvi provides 10 APCs to KP Police for counterterrorism operations
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has handed over 10 new armored personnel carriers (APCs) to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police to strengthen counterterrorism operations amid rising terrorist incidents in the province.
The APCs were provided on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who ordered their immediate transfer to the provincial police force.
Naqvi said the federal government had decided to increase its support for counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“The war against terrorism is a collective responsibility,” he said.
The interior minister said the federal government stood firmly with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and would provide all possible assistance to eliminate terrorism and protect the public.
He said the immediate provision of 10 APCs was part of the federal government’s efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of the provincial police.
Naqvi said the federal government would continue supporting the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in its fight against terrorism.
