Atiku Abubakar Reacts As Kidnappers Point Gun At Husband And Wife Who’re Kidnapped In Kaduna State

The fomer Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has taken to his official X account on Monday, October 12, 2026 to react after kidnappers pointed gun at Ahmed Zakka and his wife in captivity.

This came after Zakka, his wife and child were abducted by gunmen in Kaduna state.

In the statement that surfaced online, Atiku Abubakar stated that no Nigerian should have to plead for life or safety of their family in the hands of criminal elements.

The fomer Vice President blamed the government for insecurity and other things happening in the country.

Atiku Abubakar said insecurity will persist if the government fails to address the issues surrounding the cost of living of the people.

The former Vice President, however, urged security agencies to ensure the safety of Zakka and his family members.

According to Atiku Abubakar on his official X account;

“The thought of an infant caught in this ordeal is especially heartbreaking. I urge the relevant security agencies to act swiftly and decisively to secure the safe release of Ahmed Zakka, his wife, their child and every other Nigerian still held in captivity”.
