Dr. Forkuo also raised concerns about allegations that political loyalty is influencing appointments to state institutions, particularly through the placement of individuals loyal to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in government positions.

He further questioned the composition of Mahama’s cabinet, pointing out that 10 of the 19 ministers are from the Northern and Volta regions, while only two are women. He maintained that the figures raise questions about regional balance and gender representation in government.

Dr. Forkuo stressed that political leaders must consistently uphold the principles they promote, arguing that practices condemned under previous administrations should not become acceptable when those making the appointments are in power.

He concluded that fairness, consistency and ethical responsibility are essential principles that leaders must uphold to ensure effective governance and maintain public confidence in government institutions.
