Shujaa Complete Safari 7s Five-Peat with 24-5 Win Over Kenya Morans
Defending champions Kenya Shujaa produced an electric second-half performance to defeat the Kenya Morans 24-5 in an all-Kenyan final at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday evening, securing their fifth consecutive Safari 7s championship.
In front of a raucous home crowd, the marquee clash remained deadlocked at 0-0 through a physical opening half.
However, Shujaaβs experience shone through after the interval as Rayvon Ambale, Victor Mola, Festus Shiasi, and John Okoth crossed the whitewash to seal a record-extending 15th overall title.
The victory extends Shujaaβs unbeaten streak at the tournament to 29 consecutive matches, re-establishing their total dominance over the annual showpiece.

Both teams entered Sunday’s cup final with pristine, unbeaten records across the weekend, setting up a high-stakes domestic derby.
The opening seven minutes produced ferocious physical contact as the Morans’ defensive line pinned Shujaa back inside their own half.
Shujaa faced early adversity when scrum-half Samwel Asati was shown a yellow card for a cynical breakdown infringement.
Despite playing with a one-man disadvantage, Shujaa’s defensive cover scrambled effectively to deny the Morans, who had a late first-half try ruled out by the match officials. Both sides returned to the tunnel locked at 0-0.

Playmaker Rayvon Ambale broke the deadlock in the eighth minute, selling a dummy to the Morans’ drift defense before diving under the posts and converting his own try for a 7-0 lead.
Two minutes later, Shujaa capitalized on a counter-ruck in midfield.
Winger Victor Mola gathered the loose ball, dancing past two defenders to stretch the advantage to 14-0.
Power runner Festus Shiasi and center John Okoth quickly added two more unconverted tries as Shujaa blew the contest open at 24-0.
“We knew we had to remain patient after a tight first half,” Shujaa’s technical bench reflected post-match. “The boys raised the intensity at the breakdown in the second half, and our clinical execution out wide made the difference.”
The Morans scored a late consolation try when substitute Harrison Mauve broke clear before feeding Dennis Ndayala, but it did little to alter the outcome.
