The Bibires ended their three-match winless run in emphatic fashion, scoring once in the first half before adding two more goals after the break to claim all three points in their Week Six encounter.

Chelsea made a bright start to the game and took the lead just eight minutes after kick-off through Stephen Kwakye, who found the back of the net to give the home side an early advantage.

The opening goal settled the hosts and put Debibi United under pressure as they attempted to respond to Chelsea’s attacking threat.

Despite their efforts, the visitors were unable to find an equaliser before the break, allowing Berekum Chelsea to head into half-time with a narrow 1-0 lead.

The home side returned for the second half with renewed determination and continued to push for another goal to strengthen their position in the contest.

Their persistence paid off in the 68th minute when Dramani Awuah doubled Chelsea’s advantage, giving the hosts greater control of the match and leaving Debibi United with a difficult task.

Debibi United struggled to mount a comeback as Chelsea maintained their pressure and looked increasingly comfortable with their two-goal cushion.

The hosts completed the victory in the 90th minute when Emmanuel Ofosu produced a fine finish to make it 3-0, sealing an important win for the Berekum-based club.

The result marks a significant response from Berekum Chelsea after three consecutive matches without a victory. The convincing performance also provides the team with renewed confidence as they seek to build consistency in the league.

The victory lifts Chelsea out of the relegation zone, offering relief to the club as the competition progresses.

For Debibi United, the defeat extends their search for a first away victory in the Ghana Premier League. The newly promoted side struggled to contain their opponents and were unable to make a decisive impact in the attacking third.

The loss also pushes the Oziii Ozaa boys into the relegation zone, increasing the pressure on the team to improve their results in the coming weeks.

Debibi United will have an opportunity to respond when they host Bibiani Gold Stars in their next league fixture, while Berekum Chelsea will travel to Kpando to face Heart of Lions.

Chelsea will hope to carry the momentum from Sunday’s victory into their next match, while Debibi United must regroup and work towards a positive result as they continue adjusting to life in the top flight.
