Prophet Iddrissu Challenges Chiefs to Hold Him Accountable Over 2028 Election Prediction
Prophet Iddrissu has challenged chiefs and other traditional authorities to hold him accountable if events surrounding Ghana’s 2028 general election prove his prediction wrong.
The prophet reportedly made the declaration while sharing his views on the upcoming presidential election, expressing confidence in his prediction concerning Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the political direction Ghana would take in 2028.
According to him, traditional leaders should not hesitate to question him if the events he has predicted fail to materialise. His statement places emphasis on his confidence in the prophecy and his willingness to face scrutiny should the outcome differ from what he has declared.
Beyond his prediction about Bawumia, Prophet Iddrissu also expressed support for President John Dramani Mahama, urging Ghanaians to vote for the incumbent president for another term in the 2028 general election.
His endorsement of Mahama adds a political dimension to his prophetic declarations, which have attracted attention ahead of the next presidential contest.
The 2028 election is expected to be a significant political event, with political parties and their supporters preparing for another contest to determine who will lead the country for the next four-year term.
Prophet Iddrissu also issued a strong warning concerning electoral malpractice, particularly attempts to manipulate the outcome of the election.
He warned that individuals who engage in election rigging would face death, using severe language to emphasise what he believes would be the consequences of electoral wrongdoing.
The warning has introduced a religious dimension to discussions about electoral integrity, an issue that remains important to Ghana’s democratic process.
Electoral malpractice, including vote manipulation and other forms of interference, is prohibited under Ghana’s electoral laws, with established legal procedures available to address alleged violations.
However, the prophet’s prediction and warning represent his personal declarations and should not be treated as established facts about what will happen during the 2028 election.
As the country approaches the next electoral cycle, his comments are likely to contribute to discussions about prophecy, political leadership and the importance of protecting the credibility of Ghana’s democratic institutions.
Whether his predictions will materialise remains to be seen as the country moves closer to the 2028 general election.
