According to a report by Flashscore on Sunday October 11, 2026, Rayan Cherki was named Man Of The Match after delivering an impressive performance in Manchester City’s 3-0 Premier League victory over Liverpool. The French attacking midfielder capped his display with a goal at Anfield.

Cherki played an important role in City’s attacking performance, helping the visitors create problems for Liverpool’s defence. His movement and involvement in the final third contributed to City’s improved performance after the goalless first half.

Manchester City broke the deadlock in the 65th minute when Erling Haaland reacted quickest to a rebound inside the penalty area, firing a low finish past Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

Jeremy Doku extended City’s advantage in the 68th minute with an excellent strike into the top-right corner. His goal strengthened the visitors’ control as Liverpool struggled to respond after Ryan Gravenberch was sent off in the 62nd minute.

Cherki subsequently put the result beyond doubt by scoring City’s third goal in the 78th minute. Josko Gvardiol delivered a precise through ball into the penalty area, allowing Cherki to finish low into the middle of the net.

The attacking midfielder continued looking for opportunities during the closing stages, demonstrating his willingness to remain involved until the final whistle. Liverpool’s defence blocked another attempt from him in stoppage time.
