EVE 2-2 HUL: Match Review And Latest EPL Table
According to a report by BBC Sport on Sunday, October 11, 2026, Everton were held to a 2-2 draw by Hull City in their Premier League match at the MKM Stadium.
Everton started the game with confidence and enjoyed more possession as they looked to take control, while Hull City worked hard to keep the visitors from creating clear chances. The visitors thought they had taken the lead through Brennan Johnson in the 34th minute, but the goal was ruled out for offside following a VAR check, before Johnson eventually found the net with a valid effort shortly afterwards to put Everton ahead.
Hull refused to give up and continued pushing for an equaliser, creating problems for Everton’s defence before the half-time break. Their efforts paid off shortly after the restart when Joe Gelhardt scored in the 49th minute, bringing the home side back into the game and giving their supporters fresh hope of securing a good result.
Everton responded well to the setback and regained the lead in the 55th minute through Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who headed home after a cross from Ainsley Maitland-Niles. The visitors looked to have the advantage they needed to secure all three points, but Hull remained determined and continued searching for another goal.
Their persistence finally paid off in the 74th minute when Mohamed Belloumi found the back of the net after receiving an assist from Elliot Stroud, restoring parity and setting up a tense finish. Everton tried to find a late winner, but Hull held firm until the referee brought the contest to an end.
Despite dropping two points, Everton moved to fifth position on the Premier League table, overtaking Chelsea, while Hull City climbed to ninth position after earning a valuable point in front of their home supporters.
