Here is what to know, including kick-off time, TV channels and live stream options
Last winter, two games between the 49ers and Seahawks decided the shape of the NFL season. The two teams played each other in the Bay Area on the last weekend of the regular season, and Seattle’s win secured the NFC West and homefield advantage when the teams met later in the NFC divisional playoffs. Seattle’s advantage only got more lopsided at home, and a 41-6 win proved to be the launching pad that sent the Seahawks flying through the rest of the playoffs, ending with a Super Bowl victory. The Niners watched from home.
Now they meet again in one of the most anticipated games of the 2026 season to date. The 49ers take an unbeaten record on the road against a 3-1 Seattle team who have kept the train on the tracks despite Sam Darnold getting hurt early in Week 1 and missing a game. Whoever wins here will claim divisional favorite status as we move into the second quarter of the season, and they’ll also give themselves a good shot to claim a head-to-head tiebreaker that may be important in the league’s most competitive division.
Stadium: Lumen Field (Seattle, Washington)

United Kingdom: Watch on Sky Sports NFL or stream on NOW
The main man to watch for Seattle is the same as ever: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who just had one of the handful of most productive receiving seasons ever and is so far averaging more yards per game (120) than he did when he won Offensive Player of the Year. The Seahawks do not have a clear No 2 wideout and have some running back problems, too, given that Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker now plays for the Chiefs and first-round rookie Jadarian Price went to injured reserve this week. But as long as an offense has JSN, it has a chance to put up serious point totals. The Seahawks’ 105 points in four games are tied for sixth in the NFC. They’ll rise up the ranks if non-JSN contributors emerge.
The 49ers are a more balanced juggernaut at the moment. Brock Purdy continues to be Brock Purdy, putting up terrific numbers in a maximally supportive system. A large handful of offensive players on the wrong side of 30 have all maintained their access to the fountain of youth: Trent Williams blocking, Christian McCaffrey running and catching, and Mike Evans, George Kittle, and Deebo Samuel as downfield targets. An injured defensive front (currently missing star edge rusher Nick Bosa and tackle James Thompson) has not stopped the 49ers’ defense from giving up the third-fewest yards per play in the NFL. The only trouble is that the two teams ahead of them are the Seahawks and Rams. Will this division put three teams in the playoff again? It looks that way.
