According to an official developmental report filed by reporter Mohammed Ali for Graphic Online, Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Kwasi Afreh Biney, announced that the Trust will formally document and rehouse commercial vendors affected by recent structural demolitions along the Labadi beachfront. Addressing trade leaders in Accra, SSNIT management confirmed that displaced informal traders will be allocated designated vending slots at a planned African Market development prior to the upcoming Christmas festivities.
Urban development experts, informal trade union leaders, and local assembly officers detailed that the intervention aims to preserve informal livelihoods, streamline coastal tourism infrastructure, and maintain economic stability for affected families.
