Officers were dispatched to East Fredericksburg Road and North Flores Street at about 10:21 p.m. on Saturday for a “Disturbance with a Knife.” Police noted the incident was an actively moving disturbance.

Officers later located the complainant at the intersection of North Frio Street and Ruiz Street with an apparent gunshot wound to his lower extremities.

He was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment. Police said it was not yet known what led up to the shooting.

A 44-year-old man was listed as a suspect. Police said two suspects were detained at the scene for "further investigative purposes." It remains unclear if either of them have been charged.
