UAE condemns Houthi attack on Saudi airport that killed 12, injured 309

UAE reaffirms solidarity with Saudi Arabia; backs security measures

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia, which killed 12 people and injured 309 others.

Saudi Civil Defence confirmed the deaths and injuries. The victims included four Saudi nationals and two Bangladeshi citizens, while one citizen each from the United States, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Sudan was also killed. Several injured people are reported to be in critical condition.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said the attacks were a flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability.

The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures aimed at safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and stability.

The UAE expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
