The 36-year-old, aged 36 years and 115 days, became the oldest Englishman to score for Chelsea in the competition since John Terry.
Terry was 36 years and 159 days old when he scored against Watford in May 2017.
That match came during Terry’s final season as a player and the last campaign in which Chelsea were crowned English champions.
Chelsea’s next Premier League fixture is away to Everton on Saturday, 17 October.
