We’ll Beat Manchester United– Matheus Cunha Reveals What Kudus Told Him After Shirt-Pulling Incident

Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha has revealed a light-hearted exchange with Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus during their Premier League clash, recalling how the Tottenham star confidently predicted a win over the Red Devils. The revelation offers a fascinating glimpse into the competitive banter between the two players during the match.

Speaking about the incident, Cunha admitted that he pulled Kudus’ shirt because he knew the Ghanaian was getting into a dangerous position and he was not going to make it easy for him to score. He described it as something that happened in the heat of the moment, a common occurrence in the intensity of a Premier League fixture.

What happened next, however, caught Cunha by surprise. According to the Brazilian forward, Kudus approached him afterwards and declared, “We’ll beat Manchester United.” Cunha said he laughed because he did not expect such a bold statement from his opponent.

Cunha revealed that he responded by telling Kudus, “Let’s wait until the game. We’ll see what happens.” While he acknowledged Kudus’ confidence, he suggested that the Tottenham man may have been trying to get into his head.

The exchange adds another layer of intrigue to the rivalry between the two clubs and highlights Kudus’ competitive nature and self-belief. The Ghanaian international has earned a reputation for his fearless approach and confidence on the pitch, qualities that have endeared him to Tottenham fans since his arrival.

While the final result of the match will ultimately determine who had the last laugh, the story of Kudus’ mid-game prediction has already become a talking point among fans. It reflects the kind of psychological gamesmanship that often accompanies top-level football, where players use words as well as skills to gain an edge.

For Ghanaian supporters, the anecdote is yet another reminder of Kudus’ growing stature in the Premier League and his willingness to back himself against any opponent, including one of the biggest clubs in world football.
