Emily in Holborn? Historic corner of London is turned into Paris for Lily’s last (very lucrative) advertising shoot

She filmed her final scenes for Emily In Paris last month after six years navigating messy love triangles and career dramas while sporting an enviably fashionable wardrobe.

But Lily Collins slipped back into character last week for a London photoshoot after signing a lucrative deal to become the face of travel app Expedia, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

The success of the hit Netflix show sparked a surge in demand for trips to the French capital since airing in 2020.

And the partnership with Expedia looks set to capitalise on the interest in Paris and the fashion boutiques which gave inspiration to Ms Collins’ character, Emily Cooper.

These exclusive pictures reveal historic Sicilian Avenue in London’s Holborn reimagined as a slice of Paris, featuring chic French cafes, bistro tables, vintage cars and bustling shoppers.

Ms Collins, 37, was wearing a black–and–white polka dot dress with her trademark sleek bob as she reprised her role as American marketing executive Emily one last time.

The actress was filmed browsing clothing rails, flower displays and vintage stalls.

Partnering with the Netflix show is a savvy move for Expedia, which has reported a spike in searches for Paris when a new series airs. This so–called ‘set–jetting’ phenomenon sees viewers inspired to visit places they have watched on television.

And few have proved such an effective advert as Emily In Paris, serving up swanky hotels, fashionable restaurants and picturesque streets.

The show has followed Emily as she navigates work, romance and French culture – and this last series will see her make a big decision about the life she has built in Paris.

Fans will also see Emily travel to Greece to visit love interest Gabriel – scenes which will, inevitably, help to boost that country’s tourism, too.

In real life, Ms Collins – daughter of musician Phil Collins – has put down roots in Queen’s Park, north–west London, with husband Charlie McDowell. They welcomed a daughter, Tove, via surrogate last year.
