Showers in Haripur likely to continue for 2 days

Intermittent rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has intensified the cold in the picturesque Neelum Valley, as cold winds swept the area.

Strong winds began blowing in the upper parts of the valley, while light snowfall was reported at high-altitude tourist destinations. Rain and snowfall in the mountains further lowered temperatures, increasing the intensity of the cold across the region.

Earlier today, Haripur received intermittent light to heavy rain from last night. Rain also continued in Khanpur and Ghazi tehsils, making the weather pleasant.

The rain caused several electricity feeders to trip, disrupting power supplies in affected areas.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that the rain is likely to continue for the next two days.
