Fire destroys wooden structure at Bush Road (Photos)

A fire outbreak near Yesu Mo Villa at Bush Road in the La Dade-Kotopon Municipality has destroyed a wooden structure and its contents, but firefighters managed to protect a nearby church from the blaze.

The incident occurred on Thursday, October 8, with personnel from the Trade Fair Fire Station responding to the emergency at 8:46 a.m., according to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

In a Facebook update, the Service said firefighters brought the fire under control six minutes after arriving at the scene, at 8:52 a.m., before fully extinguishing it at 9:31 a.m.

Although the wooden structure and the items inside it were completely destroyed, the adjoining Calvary Apostolic Revival Church was spared from the fire.

The GNFS confirmed that no casualties were recorded in the incident.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
