President Museveni Reportedly Orders UTel (Uganda Telecom) Sale Deal Cancelled

After years of presidential directives supporting Rowad Capital’s proposed US$225 million investment in Uganda Telecom’s successor, Museveni has reportedly ordered the agreement cancelled. State House sources say another investor group has approached him with a takeover proposal, opening a fresh chapter in the telecom’s troubled revival.
